Email on Android telephones

This guide assumes that you know your email address and password. To find these, you must log in to My page, where you will find your email addresses under Altibox self service. Good luck!

    • Tap Email.

    Open the app Email

    • Input your email address in full.
    • Input your password.
    • Tap Manual setup.

    Type your email, password and choose Manual setup

    • Select IMAP. Lyse recommends IMAP.

    Choose Imap

    • Set the IMAP server to pop.altibox.no (this also works as IMAP even though pop is written here).
    • Set security type to SSL/TLS.
    • Set port to 993.
    • Next.

    Server: pop.altibox.no and Sequrity SSL/TLS

    • Set SMTP server to smtp.altibox.no.
    • Set Security type to SSL/TLS.
    • Set port to 465.
    • Enable Require signin.
    • Next.

    Server smtp.altibox.no, sequrity SSL/TLS and check Require signin

    • Select the traffic schedule that best suits you.
    • Select the alternatives that best suit you.
    • Next.

    Choose whatever you prefer

    • Input your full name.
    • Next.

    Type your full name

    Now you're finished. We hope that went okay. If you are having trouble you can try deleting your account, and adding it again. If it's still not working correctly we can safely recommend that you use our webmail, which does not require any setup. Good luck!
