If you will be moving it is easiest to use our change of address form (in Norwegian).
Lyse supports local companies and has therefore signed an agreement with EiendomsMegler 1. EiendomsMegler 1 offers all Lyse customers a free estate agent valuation - worth NOK 2,500 - when selling a property. Book a valuation (in Norwegian).
The access router should be left in the home. You can deliver the decoder and remote control to your local electronic waste recycler, or to one of our customer service centres in Mariero or Jørpeland.
If the new occupants wish to take over Altibox services, simply leave the remote control and decoder in the home.
If you have several electrical systems (e.g. home, cabin, boat-house) each system has its own meter ID. This is independent of if there is a change in the owner of the system or it gets a new electricity meter.
It can be a good idea to read the meter together with the old occupant/new occupant on the date of the move, then it is sent to us within a short time. You can use our change of address form (Norwegian) to send notification.
If you have Altibox services that you wish to continue using in the new home, we recommend that you contact us at least 3 working days prior to the moving day so that everything is ready and connected when you move in.
The legal owner of the subscription is responsible for sending notification of a change of address, but both the new occupant and the old occupant can send notification of a change of address. The person who is the legal owner will be named on the bill.
The best solution is if the new occupant and the old occupant read the meter together on the date of the move, thereby reducing to a minimum the chance of misunderstandings and mistakes.
You only need to send notification of change of address (in Norwegian) to Lyse. If you have another grid rental or power supplier, we will forward the information for you.
You send notification of a change of address via the change of address form (in Norwegian). You must have the following information available:
- Moving date
- Meter reading
- Meter number
- If you are moving in: Meter number or the old occupant's name and address
If you wish to move/order Altibox services please contact us by telephone. Also read when you should contact us to make sure that the Altibox services are available from the date you move in.
Both yes and no.
If the subscription is in your name it means that you are legally responsible for the system and would then be responsible for sending notification of a change of address.
If the subscription is in the landlord's name, and you are merely listed as the payer, the landlord would then be responsible for sending notification of a change of address.
The rule is that the landlord is responsible for an electricity subscription if a property is left empty.
If there is a conflict in connection with a property being empty, Lyse cannot contribute to resolving the matter. We are not party to such a situation, and do not have any legal authority, nor any authority to either provide a resolution or advice.

There is a difference between if a home has Altibox and if a home can receive Altibox. The difference is whether or not the fibre-optic cable is installed in the home itself, and is not just available in the street.
If the fibre-optic cable has been installed in the home then the home has Altibox. Then you can contact our customer service centre who will assist you with activating the service. If the fibre-optic cable is not in the home, it may be situated in the street. Then you can register your interest or you can contact our customer service centre regarding delivery to your home, if applicable.
